Obsidian historically always worked on multiple projects simultaneously. They don't need ubisoft's teams of 1k+. Their biggest game, NV was done by 70 men team in 18 months. That said their formula for making games fast also getting a bit stale, with predictable story/quest structures. Anyway; AFAIK there are 5 teams at Obs atm.
1. Avowed, biggest team, allegedly 100 devs.

Far Cry 2 was a disappointment cos it changed CryTek's original's vision which was a bit more wacky with isolated islands, mutants & shit. It was a beautiful setting but its creepiness made us want to escape it. Far Cry 2 was much more grounded in reality, was a good game, maybe better than FC1 but it didn't follow up on what made the original special. FC3-4-5 followed up on FC2 with less seriousness and more fun in mind but they are too still very grounded in reality like mos...
And it has the worst loadout menu, too much work to check for gear upgrades for each troop.

Witcher 3 is the best RPG with defined protagonist but New Vegas is still the best RPG all around(despite the gamebryo gunplay) with the freedom of who you want to be and the emphasis on C&C and memorable characters & quests in one of the best fictional settings... what Bethesda's doing with it is a disgrace.
