What people don't realize is that all things come at a cost. No matter how good the graphics of a game running at 60fps are they would always be better if that game ran at 30fps. If one area is maximized the other areas are going to suffer because there is a finite amount of power available. Therefore, I personally prefer maximizing graphics in most games, but maximizing fps in competitive, fast-paced games.
Why do people want one single company to buy them? I'd prefer if their properties get bought piecemeal like what happened with THQ. I'd like the same thing to happen to Capcom.
The only reason the L4D games weren't on the PS3 is because Valve didn't like the architecture, so there isn't any reason to assume that L4D3 won't be on PS4.
Aside from the usual suspects (ie Halo 5 and Gears 4), I would think securing some kind of exclusivity for Mass Effect 4 or a new Kotor would be a good move for them.
They have been bringing new IPs (Ryse, Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, and Scalebound), but I think they need more bigge...
Every article and video I've seen on the Halo 5 Beta has been positive.
PS4 has also sold fewer than 1 million units in a year's time there. Japan is almost irrelevant when it comes to console gaming at this point, and it is certainly irrelevant when it comes to Xbox.
Probably not. In a Gameinformer interview Vince said that this second team is small and they are in the preproduction stage. Whereas the Titanfall team is a fully staffed team.
Gaming will move to streaming eventually, but I doubt it will be next gen. I don't seem them jumping straight from physical to streaming. They will transition from physical to completely digital downloads. Then they will transition from that to streaming. I think this is generations away.
Dualshockers sure does get butthurt if anyone says anything negative about Sony...
My name Matt.
The odds of this studio getting shutdown are extremely high.
I read that SF4 has sold 8 million copies across all platforms and all iterations. This series just isn't a big seller anymore.
The previews for this game haven't been that great from all the major sites.
I'm disappointed with Dragon Age: Inquisition's numbers. It's a great game and in the running for GOTY.
I wonder how success is defined. If they just mean will it turn a profit then I doubt it will succeed there.
The thing is Microsoft needs to diversify their franchises. I'd love to see them acquire Respawn and Titanfall, but they already have two big shooter franchises, Halo and Gears of War. Acquiring Platinum would help diversify their portfolio. On top of that they don't have any Japanese developers as it is.
I'd like to see Microsoft acquire Platinum Games. They would be a good addition to their first party lineup. However, after spending $2.5 billion on Mojang I doubt they are looking to spend money on acquisitions any time soon.
I'm surprised it is below a 9.0 considering IGN is more of a PlayStation site.
This is great! I love to see both consoles do well.
Well, it is a CPU intensive game and the X1 has the faster CPU (they both have the same CPU, but X1's is overclocked).
That article is super sketchy.
