from what i understand...if you put a backed up drive into a different PS3, it will automatically reformat the unfamiliar drive. It doesn't allow for backing up data THAT way. You still loose downloaded data, etc. Maybe I am wrong, but many forum posts state this.

So here we go again....this is my recent forum post on this problem.
I played Madden 10 yesterday and it froze...so i rebooted my ps3 and guess what? My system will no longer read discs. I bought a launch unit that suffered YLOD after 1 year, then I pay $150 for a refurb replacement that has lasted me all of 5 months on a 3 month warranty!!! **bleep**...
AND THATS NOT ALL....Sony customer service wants me to pay an additional $150 to pay for a replacement to the refurb tha...
I generally hate madden...but loved the madden 10 demo.
I can imagine playing Halo 2020 with no hands and it automatically flashing 3 red lights (all by itself) and boxing itself up and shipping itself off(all by itself). That would be cool to implement.
I agree. The best thing about it is it looks just like Left 4 Dead 1. I would gladly pay $50 for the same game again with a "2" in the title. Rumor is that they have put all the originally intended gameplay tweaks, minus any graphics upgrades, that they would have put in the first Left 4 Dead, if only it was on a spacious Bluray disc.

Rumor is that they will be adding a feature to let users choose which leg that they would like their effeminate looking avatar's to lean on. I don't know about you, but I have been waiting for this option forever.

Truth is---the 360 cannot handle the expansion as DLC. Microsoft's new cash cow policy is digital distro. You know how they tell you that you can install games now to save your cheap ass DVD drive from making that loud jet engine sound?

Midnight club LA...now thats racing in a realistic city with pedestrians and cops. much more fun than driving aimlessly just to see some boring repetitive crash animations. Garbage with and without the DLC.
Midnight Club LA is the racing game to own. Burnout is just about crashes. It is lame on and offline. I put my copy on Ebay as soon as I started playing MCLA. They can keep the DLC. The games sucks ass.

Sorry. actually i am not pissed off at all. That wasn't really directed at you, sir. I was just laughing when I heard about the mods ruining a multiplayer game that basically has no worthy single player campaign. It's just another nail in the badluckbox360 coffin. ooops...did i say coffin? :}
Great game!! Hope it never comes to the PS3! We like longer games that are actually fun to play and we like games that were designed so we can play alone if we want to. We also like games that aren't HACKED!!! HAAAH!!! You played L4D lately? But of course, games on the PS3 can't be pirated, hacked or scratched...but...I lost my train of thought. sorry. :}

When they send you a $150 refurb with a 3 month warranty...call them before the end of the warranty period and tell them there is something wrong with your console, EVEN IF IT IS WORKING FINE, and they will have to send you another unit. DO THIS EVERY 3 MONTHS!!! It may be a hassle for you and for them but, F..K THEM!!!
They should have extended the warranty period for their defective "YLOD", "UNREADABLE DISC" ERRORS just like MS did FOR RROD!!!!
