People could just go out and buy cheap movies but they still use services like Vudu.
Even $15/mo wouldn't be bad. That is what a one game plan with Gamefly costs.
People don't seem to get that at all. They are just hung up on "$500 million". That figure is for a trilogy and expansions. That is about $167 million per game. That is not a crazy amount at all.
Movie trilogies tend to have the entire budget planned out ahead of time. Why should gaming budgets be any different??
Streaming games would actually take more to maintain on Sony's side than a physical store. A physical store just needs to make the initial purchase of the games and then after that it is pretty much just paying employee salaries which covers the entire store. Sony has to continue to maintain and update their network and servers. They also have to account for bugs and stuff.
Let's look at Vudu for a minute. Vudu charges $5.99 for a movie rental in 1080P HD. That is 2-3...
Of course they are. Who actually doubted that they would?
Great game but not terrifying at all.
Funny how Sony is investing into new IP all the time yet we hear every day how they are just days away from bankruptcy.
i think the problem is that everyone had a "perfect price" in their heads and these don't match up. They don't seem to understand that this is a "closed beta". First they started testing the actual streaming of the games. Now they are on to the next step. They are testing the price structure out. They will probably change up the prices again in the near future to get more feedback. Once this goes to a "open beta" we will have a better idea of what the fin...
Gamefly is $15.95/mo for the 1 game plan. You can buy more than half of the games they offer for less than that.
My local video rental store offers 5 day rentals for
$8.00 on video games.
How exactly are the "beta prices" of PS Now ridiculous??
I think someone needs to go back and count the exclusives for each system again. I bet Sony had less exclusives last gen too huh?
He doesn't.
The price to buy should just be the current price of that game on the PS Store.
PS+ Full Game Trials are only an hour long though. That is not the case with Far Cry 4. It is actually a pretty cool feature if it works as advertised.
LBP is about as hard core as it gets. Don't let the cute little main character and materials of the levels fool you. These games are legit. You can literally create ANYTHING with the tools they give you. I have seen some user created levels that are better than a TON of actual games.
Actually most average gamers will play indies. The "Elitist" crowd are the ones who are "too good" for indies. Some of us started gaming on the Atari where they were all indies. I swear some of you have no idea where gaming even started.
Maybe they played the last gen version of both games?
I was also in the PS3 PS Now beta. I got my PS4 PS Now beta code earlier today.
Why? It doesn't hurt anyone and their are plenty of people who actually like them. Remakes are a great idea. They give people who missed out on game a chance to play them without having to go back and purchase past consoles to play them. There is a large chunk of the PS4 community who were Xbox 360 only gamers last gen who would love to play The Last of Us without having to buy a PS3. The same goes for the Xbox One community. This really applies to PS2/Xbox games as there are quite a few ...
Depends on the movie and how much they feel like driving to a store to purchase said movie.
