I remember the comparison. Yes, it did put the 2005 trailer to shame. Well not really to shame, but it did look better. Contrary to what the article says it also had better textures, hence the sharper visuals.
In all honesty I still don't think the game is a day one buy for me. Something about this game I just can't put my finger on yet.
good article, but I like the idea of having my disk on a hard format rather than on something I can not see. I think that hard drives are not big enough yet to instill such a practice anyway. It would cost the consumer a crap load of money for so much storage or hard drive that could hold all the games or even part of them in the future.

I am afraid my friend you are wrong. How does the method of AA I mention produce texture blur. It only blurs the lines not the whole screen where 99.9% of the textures are. It was made to keep high def textures, LOL, woooow. I'm cool with you bro. Off and away to better things
Optimus your killing me. The PS3 version will be superior in every aspect. From the quincunx AA (if they take the time to do it) to the lighting. The textures will be about the same and if they work the cell right the resolution will destroy the 360's version. So keep dreaming and if they do F it up then keep dreaming because the only way the 360 can excell is if it's made from the outdated unreal engine.

whenever the price tag is $300 plus and most of the multiplats look like garbage then there is no saving needed. The only thing that could have saved the PS3 is if it were the revolution that sony was touting it was. Is a good console indeed but not for $300 or $400, whatever the price is? Been 2 years since I bought mine.
......and your point is? While watching the new videos at IGN I have come to my conclusion (notice I said my). This game is by far the most beatiful game I have ever seen (looks on par or a little better than crysis in my opinion). As for gameplay it looks like all the rest of the shooters I have ever seen, except with a huge bonus of....actually looks fantastic. No its nothing new, but still looks like a blast to play.
