Of course the future of gaming in not episodic. BUT episodic gaming will probably be bigger in the future. Especially as it refines itself a little better.
There is definitely a place for this type of game style though, what is it hurting by having it? Of course all games should not be this way, that's ridiculous. No more than thinking all games should go with the Free-To-Play model. It's just a different type of investment for players.

I agree it is a high price tho, especially for a console user with PSN or XBL. But I understand why they charge it... the upkeep cost, and the high quality updates/support they plan to incorporate.

The "Levolution" reminds me of Vigilante 8: 2nd Offence's (1999) triggers on their maps. I don't think many levels had them, but they caused flooding, giant ant attacks, giant donuts rolling around, and maybe a couple other cool things. But you had to do certain actions to trigger them each match. And at least two of them had a big impact on the rest of the match once they were in affect.

Lol, what? While it is a nice feature for Playstation to support bluetooth devices for people who have them, I don't think that makes it a better option.
Anyways... For gaming I believe wifi direct is a much better route to go than Bluetooth, for future gaming needs especially. Wifi direct gives up to 250mb/s, compared to bluetooth 2.1 EDR's 3mb/s transfer rate. Plus many devices are Wifi direct capable now-a-days.

I don't remember Xbox having this option... the closet thing only I can think of was being able to plug your mic jack into the controller for chat while using a wireless headset.

Though you're joking about really paying that, I do think it's funny how stupid people can be that would pay anywhere near that much money.
Millions of people probably downloaded that game when it was available, and we are still able to play it whenever we want.
Even if you do lose it somehow, or didn't get it and want to see what all the fuss was about, there are tons of other free clones to download instead... and surely more to come now.
