My feelings exactly, i don't want to lose friends if I join the stormcloaks, especially in Whitetrun in which i am a thane. The jarl there is a friendly fellow but i know he doesn't favor the stormcloaks, for now I'm staying neutral until i need not be.
I concur, they've really revamped everything that needed ravamping. Loving it so far.
Just make sure you steal his sweetrolls.
IMHO replayability makes a good game great, one major letdown in this area was L.A Noire for me.
Also if something is repetitive it generally takes away from the replayability.

The mind of madness was a crazy quest, easy way to get the daedric artifact achievement also.
