They use the Same codecs. The only difference is space. Dual layer BD is 50gb while. Dual layer HD dvd is 30gb while, tripple layer ones are 45gb. THe codecs are the same DAMMMMMMM thing. I am older gamer. I been there done that a millions times on different genres of games. It's a analysis of how software and hardware from NPD July 07 numbers. There is one graph that shows Months since launch sold. @ 9 months 360 had 2.2 million sold. @ 9 months PS3 has around 1.6 million sold. US only sales as they are NPD. So yes the PS3 a bit behind but not bad. But I think the real numbers are head to head because if head to head you keep loosing ground you are never going to catch up.

Also this is where #'s get wierd. 1.5 to 300k means there are 5 times more blue ray to HD, but it only outsells it 2:1 in software sales. 800k to 1.6mil. That measn attach rate is 1.066 for every blue ray compare to 2.66 for HD dvd. Since the blue ray has 5 times more then HD it should be killing it by software sales of over 4 times more but it isn't. My conclusion, no one really cares about hd or blue ray other than the fanboys of each group.
Thats what DRM brings to the table. They can modify it to how ever they please. Even if they don't agree with the consumer they will do what the uppers need to do to protect their investment. On the Xbox 1. They had this and it had very little support. Trust me it sucks balls compare to the more open streaming way of any game I want with different playlist I do from WMplayer. All I do is add it to my PC list and its on the xbox360 game. Having to use your own HD of your console is also limited I know friends who have around 40gbs of music. I myself have 20gb. Also having to re-edit a playlist again for every game that supported this sucked on xbox 1. You guys are funny sometimes. ...
