Microsoft and Sony are both releasing their answers to Nintendo's controller. This year they are both going to show and they both have had an extra year. Microsoft is coming out with over a dozen titles releasing by the end of the year that take advantage of the new controller.
Rockstar is going to cause a huge stir when they show off the next GTA DLC 360 pack running on the new controller. Both DLC packs will sell this fall in retail package form with a custom GTA controll...

RROD, M$ charges for ONLINE play, it lacks BD and no built in HDD.
I own both the PS3 and 360 (cause I roll like that) but I tend to favor the 360 for all my gaming needs except for the few Sony exclusive stuff, but a friend of mine who owns just the PS3 and I constantly debate the merits of the systems and whenever I score a point in the debate he pulls all the above as sure fire reasons why I made a huge mistake on the 360 and should have just waited for PS3.

Personally I think this whole debate is at its core DLC envy...Let's face it.....No one can deny Xlive is a better service, achievements are fun and the DLC gives the 360 version the only truly tangible advantage. Its all about the DLC and Sony fans hating on M$ cause they cut a check.
Cant' say it sucks on that level so lets bring out the parade of nonsense about being ripped off for paying for online and being a bunch of Xbots....
LOL - The 360 isn't future proofed. That console is designed top down to be dropped in a five year cycle.
Watch what happens to your future proof theories when Ninty launches the Wii2 and M$ launches the 720 in fall 2010.
Sony launched a year after M$ and that combined with ninty's industry disrupting new controller wiped out half Sony's market share.

I speak only for myself but the whole idea of "future Proofing" a console is just a marketing ploy.
Look at the PS2 - They say thats a 10 year console. But since year 4 it had started to look long in the tooth. The Xbox was dead by the time they finally killed it. People still buy them for the library they have but not cause of the upcoming games cause their are barely any to look forward to.

EA Sucks - This is old news.......They make a ton of money though so don't hold your breath waiting for them to change their ways.

Sony should have fought harder for the DLC and gotten some more perks in. This is a crap deal for new adopters and speaking for myself as an early adopter that dropped $600 on my PS3 on top of the $400 I dropped on the 360 I still can't find a good reason to go get this game for the PS3 and miss out on the 360's superior online play and DLC.

Great.....That is just peachy.....Sony should have fought for the DLC too......The PS3 cost me more than my 360 and the GTA launch is just another reminder to me I bought the PS3 way to early as the 360 version of this game is the only truly superior version.

Wow you know whats really funny about your statement??? Here is my personal take from a guy who owns both consoles and had one RROD on me......I bought my first 360 on launch day and my PS3 a month after it launched. I play at least twice a week on average and often times more. In the 3 years my 360 has been idle 3 weeks - the three weeks it was off at M$ being fixed.......
