It's not a good sign because it makes people think they're making all their efforts on the multiplayer leaving the story in the background and it would suffer from it. We haven't heard almost anything about it. That could be they have a great surprise or nothing at all.
And again, it's not refreshing at all. This kind of multiplayer has been seen before.

No, it's not refreshing. Multiplayer to God Of War was just as unnecesary as Assassin's Creed's multiplayer.
GOW is all about the story. The multiplayer might be (or not be) a good addition, we'll see, but the lack of info on single player is not a good sign.

A Vita only Metal Gear, Gran Turismo, God Of War, Dragon Quest, GTA, Final Fantasy...maybe I forgot some franchises, but the others I can think of are on their way to the Vita.
