Its Sony's longest running franchise. More than Gran Turismo.
Its damn amazing. Building collapsing and the fallout and dust rushing to your face.
I tried it myself at E3 and it is a purely casual experience and, more so, its a pretty broken one.
During the Kinectamals demo it asks you to name your animal and I saw some guy literally say a name 20 times and it just kept asking him. He got so pissed he just walked away while everyone was watching him. lol
People still calling it a "gimmick" are now eating their words. You got EVERYONE pushing now.

I was disappointed. It was all still just smoke and mirrors for Kinect and games that were already expected.
On kinect: Whether it was pre-rendered or laggy, it still looks like an glorified EyeToy. Even worse I dont think the EyeToy was that laggy, judging from this video from 3 years ago:
