Anybody here notices that, yeah, it not being a big deal and all, but: There is nearly no additional FanService on Sony's part. They give you just the basics, priced high. If you wanna buy, go ahead. But if fans say, we'd be happy to have XXX (insert Rumble, BC, proper Online), they just go, well, no, WE don't deem this appropriate, you know, because XXX (insert any argument Phil ever presented to us).

I mean, GBA-compatibility in the DS was not a must, was it? People are thank...

It's really funny reading Psycho Phil's PR interviews/fiascos rambling on and on about superior this superior that, and all the while being able to take a stroll around Tokyo's electronic shops and watching the supply chain in action.

I have been to all the hot electro places here, and what I can honestly say is, I have seen ONE Playstation 3 being sold since I'm doing this. I have personnaly monitored 1 store for 6 hours until they got suspicious of me coming back every couple...

Some people just don't want Vista. Me included. At least not now.

PS: DJ's friend seems to think that, though. DJ, tell him it's not about that. If he wants Vista (or should want it), that's a different matter.

A Mac. This is not about superiority. The article claims there's no choice. Well, there is. Simple as that. Of course, if you want low price, that's another question. Just ask yourself if price should be your key argument.

I tried to translate as best I could, am still learning the beast that is the Japanese "language". So here goes my somewhat free translation of what the first two fellas have written. The first one gave a nine, the second one an eight. Notice the lack of substance in what the are saying. That is normal in Famitsu btw.

1) "Though it feels like Musou made simple, the ability to make such speedy attacks hitherto unknown to Musou somewhat amplifies the refreshing fee...

What were the marks though on Crossfire, I can't recall right now.

BTW, anyone interested in what they actually write in their review, as that might be interesting? I happen to be in Tokyo right now, could translate it later.

Do you actually spend time reading the articles? Or is this forum just a way for you to waste valueable time b1tching about the one or the other console and what else not?

As to your "question": The article clearly gives a reason for the water-proof-ness, does it not now. Go, read, try to find it.

Cheers, don't take it personally.

Sad though, innit. Now that you can apply water to it, you can't clean it anymore. Oh, wait a minute... that doesn't make sense, does it?

It is exactly this attitude, ignoring the POTENTIAL of gamers who don't emphasise on the graphics as much as the so-called "true gamers/hardcore gamers", that will keep Nintendo in the kiddie-section of things.

I consider it a fact that there is a market space of adults who would warmly embrace adult games on the system for the amazing price point it offers. There are enough people I've seen call Zelda a graphically beautiful game (which proves that you don't need HiD...

I think it's more like 33% Japan. You could look at some numbers at vgcharts.org . If you would imagine getting some percentage off of Ninty there in favour of the XB360, that would be significant.

But I think, they can't do it, plain and simple reason: Microsoft is not Japanese. If you think US-patriotism is a big deal, think again. Just look at the car market here (in Japan, I'm being there right now). Look at any other market for that matter. Hell, Starbucks works here as th...

I wonder why Sega deliberately mis-spelled a Japanese title, though. The Japanese bit says Karasu, which means Crows, but the Roman letters say Karous... I don't get it. But then again, who cares?

I'm bashing this particular analyst on the grounds of arguments, not because I want anything to do well. This analyst has no foundation for whatever he comes up with, that's his problem. He does that for a living, you know there's a lot of incompetent people doing something for a living, because the people who they talk to happen to be incompetent as well and keep paying them. Check all the facts on the Internet you can find about the particular topic he's writing about and you will easily se...

...Wall Street Analysts don't get paid by Sony. Wall Stree Analysts are dumb. They don't have thze feeling for their stuff. Their misinformed on a regular basis. They probably got some estimates from somebody who can't estimate and then wrote a little piece without counter-checking if that is at all possible.

The better Gamecube marks are due to the title being compared to what the Gamecube can do, while the Wii version is in comparison to what the Wii could do, and as such, the Graphics and so on could be a lot better on the Wii, but Zelda is in its core a Gamecube title.

About the Wii being just for kids: Look at the demographics of Wii players and think again. Nintendo is going after the non-gamers, which doesn't mean that they wanna lose the kids, mind you. Still, the Wii is pro...

... and how exactly did THAT make things better? Am I much mistaken or was 95 just another front-end for DOS? As I recall things gradually got better after we were nearing Windows 98 and only in a scenario where you had all the correct drivers and the right equipment.

What about Amazon.co.jp? Who needs an Hong Kong based importer anyway?

I agree with MicroGamer that mostly the eBay-kind of people takes it as irrelevant if they get a fake game. That, or they're blessed with ignorance as to how the cheaper prices come about.

If Microsoft really only put 30,000 pieces on sale, then those selling out are only a sign that the careful estimates were too low and that there is a certain type of gamer that would want to get and try GOW. It does not NECESSARILY mean that it would sell out given a huge quantity. It's a good start though and makes you feel curious about their real potential there.

Another thing: Please stop referring to the Japanese as polite little cute folk who don't like blood. Really, co...

I can't seem to understand what your point is. How does the fact that Microsoft traditionally has a weak position in Japan result in the opposite being true in the States? There is NO logic whatsoever in what you say. I have read many of your posts, and quite frankly, apart from them being insulting they are a breeding pool of utter nonsense. Also, where on the planet do you see the PS3 selling well? In Dubai maybe, where they have enough money to build houses using PS3s as bricks.

... how about this being a chain, and the chain selling PS3s at a discount, and the damned things still being available in sheer abundance, not even selling out at the Don Quijotes, which by the way are NOT a games retailer in Japan, so much to the accuracy of the new article. What do the PS3-zombies think about that?
