"My $99 Sony Blu-ray player does it. My PS3 does it. What exactly do they have to figure out to make it so the worlds most powerful game console can do it?"

Exactly! My PSVita allows me to listen to music while playing ANY game for crying out loud!!! Im glad yoshida is taking the backlash seriously though.

I love custom soundtracks for racing games and fighting games. Id really like to use them for onlind fps action too. Aside from that i do use the mp3 playback function on my ps3 outside of gaming quite a bit since i have it connected to a nice 5.1 system.

Its very good to know that they are listening to the people with concerns about there being no mp3 support on the ps4 as it was my only real deal breaking gripe with the system.

I'm actually not jealous of this guy at all. Hmmmm... I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that I have a life outside of gaming...hmmm....

Based on that photo, I would NOT let this guy babysit my kids.

On the contrary, when Sony knows there are many people that will want to listen to their own music collection and custom soundtracks during gameplay, but choose to eliminate that option and offer a subscription based service instead, I don't know what else you'd call that but holding someone's arm behind their back since there are no other options.

I'm not going to pay for music that I already own and paid for once.

As for:

"I have a big smile on my face whenever a video game developer give the middle finger to every uptight in the gaming industry."

Wow, how mature of you. What an ignorant/obtuse view too:

"Why even be a gamer if every video game is just another copy/paste with no individual quality behind it just to please the..."

So if it's not overtly offensive someway then it lacks "individual quality"?

"F--- my life"

No but there is maturity restriction on that phrase.

"As we've come to expect, Shuhei Yoshida was very busy this, answering lots of people’s questions. "

Except any questions to do with why they won't support MP3's/Audio CD's/DLNA and why they're trying to force the Music Unlimited service on their customers.

"FML"?

What are you like 16?

They already are. Haven't you been to an airport in the last few years?

4605d ago 5 agree0 disagreeView comment

If this is true then why leave anything to chance? Enable audio-cd\MP3\DLNA on the PS4 immediately and wrap this thing up!

Clearly, you've never been raped.

And, no. That was not an offer.

4606d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Sony if you're reading this.. Can you enable MP3/Audio-CD/DLNA support already?

4606d ago 5 agree9 disagreeView comment

$10 PSN credit? Cool.

$30 Music Unlimited credit? Shove it.

Just enable .MP3/Audio CD/DLNA support already.

Man, if ever there was a game you'd want to listen to a customer soundtrack while playing, it would definitely be a racing game like this, but sadly that won't happen on the PS4, what a sham(e).

Blocking us from using our own media (Audio CD's, MP3's) so that you can sell us a subscription based service...

Is that "For the Player" too, or the board members?

Well it's a damn shame they didn't opt for SATA III in lieu of SATA II, thus future proofing it at least a little bit more, seeing as SATA III has double the data rates as SATA II. Please, tell me again how much of a genius Mark Cerny is.
