In fact, it has better graphics than gayble even though it was released a year prior. It is also longer than gayble - gayble can be beaten in 8 hours. It has a better story/narrative than gayble. The murder mystery is intriguing and the twists are just insane while gayble's is just plain and uninteresting. The design and atmosphere are also top-notch. But its combat system is what really makes it much, much better than gayble.

It's true, though. It sells a lot in South Asia, South East Asia, and Eastern Europe. The only reason, though, is that it is easy to mod and pirate game for free.

Gears 2 worked fine day one. That's why Epic did not patch the game 2 weeks after launch. Then, because the initial patch did not improve the laggy crap that is g(r)ays of war 2, EPICfail did not release another patch in January the next year.
