I agree, can't wait to play PS4 games on my Vita in my bed or outside.
It's a big plus over the XBone, not that it needed any but it's very cool.
Xbone is underpowered and costs 100$ more, it doesn't play naughty dog or other Sony exclusives, and Titanfall I'll play it on my PC (the best version) or later on PS4.
So no, thanks.
Well I'm happy to announce indie game X nobody knows about will make its debut on PS4 and PS Vita.
An underpowered machine is not for gamers. Multiplats will run better on PS4.
@cueil So what ? Sony gives us more than MS, as usual. What's your point ?
Oh PC fanboys...
This demo was running REAL TIME on a ps4 since you've got videos proving that. The guys change the cameras and lights on the fly, how do you think it would be possible if it wasn't real time, genius ?
So of course you could have a game which looks like that on PS4. Gameplay doesn't magically add more power needs. Graphics are where the power is used nowadays, our modern CPUs are powerful enough for everything else. And Cage's ...
Yeah, it's not even close now. PS4 > XB1 in every way.
Price, power, exclusives quality, exclusives quantity, subscription value, game streaming (Gaikai)...
@loulou : XB1 has zero strength actually.
- it's 100$ higher in pricetag
- it's 30 to 50% less powerful
- it's focused on stupid TV and shows
- Kinect is required and always connected, you got to pay for it
- DRM can come back to bite your ass any time
- less exclusives than Sony
- inferior version of every multiplatform
- PS+ > XBL Gold in value (free AAA games, discounts...)
- no Gaikai service o...
PS4 has cross game chat, please read a little bit more before commenting.
PSN online service is exactly on the same level as Live now, in quality there's zero difference. IT's been like that for years now.
PSN has gaikai though, so it's actually superior even before PS+. Streaming PS3 games on PS4 was already confirmed at E3.
PS4 will always have better and more exclusives since they fund studios with their money like Naughty Dog ...
@edonus :
There's no Gears on XB1 and if there was it would be multi anyway and the best version will be on PS4
Halo died the day Bungie left, now they showcase Destiny on PS4.
PS4 is 30 to 50 % superior, with more RAM and more powerful GPU, it's a fact, go check on any website.
PS+ value is not debatable compared to Gold, on PS+ you get free AAA games every month among multiple other benefits.
The gh...
If innovation is Kinect and DRM is future, then you can keep it.
I buy a game console for games, sorry. PS4 > XB1 by a mile
And on PS4 too one year later, it was basically confirmed.
Yeah, the cloud is PR bullshit. I work in IT.
Technically, you either stream the full game (streaming the display actually) like Gaikai or onLive, or you don't use cloud at all.
Latency is the issue, plus the fact that most things just don't need a lot of CPU time. Cloud would be useful mostly on graphics, and then you get in trouble with latency.
Sony software offer has always been superior to what MS offers. Great exclusives like The Last of Us, while MS now releases mostly Kinect games as exclusives.
There is no equivalent to Uncharted 2 or The Last of Us on 360.
Why would we pay 100$ more for a 30 to 50 % inferior machine anyway. Difference will be obvious since they share the same architecture, dev has no effort to make for games to look a lot better on PS4.
Then there's PS+, ...
He's like the biggest MS hater in the world. Crazy when you think Braid was a 360 exclusive.
MS should fire every single suit from the Xbox division. How they could let this disaster happen is beyond me.
Monkeys would have managed the Xbox brand better.
At least there were games...
I give it only a 6/10 because it's 499$, and because the best games (MGS5, titan fall...) will be playable on PS4 in a better version anyway. With less DRM and no forced online.
Also, too many shooters, lack of originality.
Still a nice effort by MS. No Kinect was a relief.
Games... and television. Tv, tv, tv, sports, tv, tv, games, tv, tv.
They WILL port it to nextgen later. They would lose too much money not to do so, doesn't make sense.
@B1663r Right now that's more like MS spent the last 10 years trying to catch up to Apple and Google. And soon playing catch up to Sony in gaming too.
Wow, the WiiU plays PS4 games ? Didn't know.
