If you're talking about the PS3 beta I didn't think it was that bad at all. It's light-years ahead of BFBC1 in terms of graphics. Remember how soft that was? I loved the game but playing it for more than an hour just made my head hurt.
Keep in mind this is Frostbite 1.5, so DICE has informally called it. I wonder if we'll get Frostbite 2.0 with Battlefield 3?
I'm surprised by this too because GvD has stated before (several times) that this was going to be an open PC beta. Others have also commented that it would be open, much like BF2 patch betas. I'm sure Fileplanet and others will have keys but that's not open either.
Just under 21mb and will play on even crappy work computers with crappy integrated graphics. Now where's my iPhone version?
Yeah it's getting a little boring being on the same map but the game is awesome, I'd rather play this 100 times than MW2 once.
There's no denying it was a good game though. I'd rather see this than some sites going out of their way to pick esoteric games just to prove that they are different.
Yeah that was a fun game, I hope this one continues that level of detail and enjoyment. Hopefully they won't count on the PoP movie launching this game and get lazy delivering crap. The movie has a release date of May 28th.
He did say Gem when I was listening to it yesterday and it was without hesitation, like he's been saying it for a long time. "Natal and Gem" is how it went.
I agree, it's kind of sad Zipper's first PS3 game is dead in the water before it's even released.
A clan system like KZ2 has would certainly help BFBC2 on the console side.
You're wrong about Steam being the only one allowed to sell MW2. Direct Drive and others refused to sell it because it was so connected to Steam. Bit of a difference there.
It is a fun game, I really like the pace of the battle too. It's not too rushed and gives you time to think about what you're doing. The size of the maps also give you plenty of different attack lines.
You should try that in a game, it will give you super-powers.
This is the full version as released by Ubisoft earlier today, not a cobbled together video of all the pieces.
It was more a joke than anything saying "chink in their armor" because it looks and sounds so good right now, especially when compared to PC MW2. That's all I could find to fault but it's not even really an issue. The only thing Live could do is help convert console fanboys to PC but we know that won't really happen don't we?
Night Flight was the best for that with the NVGs on. Too bad I wasn't so good at jumping off before I blew the C4...
They spent too much time on the MP and Co-op and seemed to just slap the single player together and it showed. I thought the build up with all the websites and background about Hale was great but we saw none of that attention to detail or intrigue in the actual game at all.
I agree with you on that but getting both offers today smelled of slight desperation.
Even free... I don't want any of these games.
Right that's what I came up with. They're all good games but you've got to make some decisions in life. This will come up with GT5 when it comes out too.
I think that maybe means they are unlocks for each of the respective classes. I don't think it means every class gets them (i.e., snipers get paddles). Although, a sniper with a defrib as a weapon would be fun instead of being the sniper and getting zapped!
