For l you tools that say you don't want an update every year on SF lets think about this.
IF e never got an update on SF4 then we would have 25ish characters and no new blancing since 2009. They cannot make a new SF because Capcom doesn't allow it instead they make updates to a game to keep it freash... you know like Skyrim, COD, madden,and all the other games that get new versions/DLC every year.

im sorry I heard that argument a billion times and I gotta say that's bullshit. I played ff11 for 6 years and only a handful of times did I actually make a long lasting friend from a party killing crabs for hours.
What did end up happening was I was seeking for 4 hours then once we got there someone had to leave and party disbanded. I have RL friends in the game and theres so much content you can to do to make friends like free companies and linkshells and the housing sys...
good faster parties the better. People will actually do the content unlike ff11 where a select few were able to do anything.
Or you can just try it for free if you really bought the game you can log on and play lol.

Everyone who purchased the game has access to the beta since beta phase 2. There is gonna be 4 beta phases and an open beta all of these periods are free play. We are currently waiting for phase 4 which starts next month. Every character was transferred from ff14 1.0 to the current ff14 2.0

Coming from someone who has played ff11 for 6 year...
ff11 is to old, doesn't have new features other MMOs have and the population is really bad. With no Dungeon finder you are still sitting in town shouting so people can party up and in a game where u need a party for EVERYTHING it makes for a bad time which is why the game never gets new people to play.
FF14 is light years better.
