actually 2 things.
1st. everyone believed in 3ds till nintendo announced a 250 price tag for psp like tech.
Then it failed nintendo lost money for the first time in 30 year and they lowered the price 80 bucks in 4 months of it being releasse THEN it started selling.

1st off, ps2 was already removed when the slim came out so nothing would be removed with the slimmer version.
Second people like new toys. i bet you got the 4-5 different versions of iphone or ipad which cost 3 times as much as this would. So let him breath and buy what he wants.
what? are you mad? ff11 came out ten years ago on ps2 and its still running with regular updates and WoW came out in 2004 and 8 years later its still going.
Also Se can easily make it on ps4 and the PC version has been out for 2 years. MMos unless they do not have a lot of subs dont fo away because consoles do. theres a lot of people on ps2 playing ff11 as we speak.

well mab when sony drops the price 100 bucks in less then a year because it was failing everywhere then they can have a strong product like nintendo!
actually all of it matters. but one of the things needed to run 1080p, 3D and 60FPS is ram. Hardware Console companies always skip on ram. If its not 6-8 gigs of ram then we will have another current gen problem.
PS2 has 32 MB of RDRAM. the Ps3 has 512. thats 16 times the ram!!!!! if we do not see a boost of around that much then we are gonna be held back again. I mean ps3 can not even do voice chat because of it. theres lots of things they will add later on that will need ...

It does not matter really M$ is in a good postion then sony is now. The only thing making money for sony is the games divison whereas M$ is kiling it everywhere.
I just find it funny that M$ has been out sold every year and its still good for them and bad for sony in the games part of the companies.
