I actually thought Prologue was one of the first to take the cockpit view to the next level.. shift came out in 2009 it's entirely possible that EA had no intentions of cockpit view until they saw it in prologue
Just guessing of course, but i Do no prologue was out WELL before shift, there may even be other games before prologue but I'm not aware of em
To be honest, while this update is certainly a welcome addition, I prefer the MECHANICAL damage in forza (the cosmetic damage is terrible)
In forza you can even grind the gears(and hear it) if you don't shift clean, and you can damage your clutch etc. It's actually pretty cool. You can pretty much damage everything and it reacts as you would expect it to
I think the fact that some people have lists like this in a notepad file saved on their desktop so they can copy / paste it into gaming forums looks ridiculous on its own.
What I mean is, even if he didn't list unannounced games, he's still a tool
To me this is smarter than rewind for casuals, it gives everyone a bit of a challenge but its still not as forgiving as a rewind function, rewind is striaght up cheap lol I think this is a good compromise, 20-25 seconds will still screw you over in the race yet the ppl that cry over full damage will still get a chance to come back

Gotta say... I'm extremely impressed by the amount of support from zipper... They just keep on bringing big, free patches that almost always make it better. If this is any kind of hint at how they will support Socom when it comes out, that is gonna be one good game as well :)

The thing is, this has always been Sony's focus and they havn't changed it. From PS1 to PS2 to PS3 their goal has always been to push the boundaries of console gaming farther and farther without straying from that direction.
Sometimes I think MS just wants a piece of the action wherever it can get it no matter how silly it seems..
In the case of Kinect, I feel they have sort of strayed from their pat...
Honestly if they want to make it appeal to the core games they should just stick with what they originally said and use the xbox controller but have kinect there for things like head tracking, hand signals, voice commands etc rather than relying on the technology to effect say gun accuracy for example

wow that was awesome... been getting back into this lately, still THE best "war atmosphere" ever created in a game that's for sure especially if you have a home theatre of some sort

Honestly I, as well as many others are gonna be in such a big dilemma cuz we'll want to play all the other games being released but this game is so huge I'll just want to keep playing it and not miss out lol
maybe I'll get another tv and another ps3 so I can have one dedicated to lbp and the other playing the regular games lol
