Sales didn't boost just because of a terrible movie that comes with a demo to what will be yet another mediocre game by S-E. That just happened to come out around the same time. The PS3's were really bought up because of Killzone 2 that released in Japan just a few days ago as well as much better games that will come out in the future.
I don't think ANYBODY saw Jaffe on hiphopgarbageshow. Even if he did say that, when was the last time that blog was ever right? Everything posted has been proven otherwise each time they post a new blog. On top of that, I highly doubt Jaffe will tell some no name blog site what is going to happen at E3.
Hopefully some other publisher will pick it up (like a publisher who doesn't cave into peer pressure).
