Wasnt it stated that they have seen the correct game in comments on forums though?
If it was a new IP I dont see how someone could have guessed the title... Unless it;s been leaked, or hinted, or dropped before. Or they were doing a play on words, and counting "new IP" as a correct guess.
FFVII would restore my faith in SE big time. True, it's not my favorite FF, or RPG, but the demand for it is so astronomically huge, and with a lot of the random stuff they keep putting out that is so hit and miss.... FFVII make SENSE.
As long as they dont completely butcher it into an action game or something :(

Playing it through is common sense. It's an RPG for starters. Yet I agree all games should be played through, though RPGs generally can be more time consuming. Why? Because the "game" part of an RPG is IN the optional stuff.
The main story of most RPGs are fun if your there for a new story. But when you want more of the game side it's all sidequesting, extra content, side stories, bonus bosses, etc. I dont necessarily approve or agree, nor is it that way 100% of the tim...

This game is now on my radar. Big time. Well, anything with "Xeno" in it is at first for me. I just hope it's good! Honestly, most games are worth playing in the least. But some you still have higher hopes for then others, no?

Wow. Japan is the reason I play video games! I had never heard of any of these titles until now. And now I'm researching them ;P
For rookie titles those all made me lean more forward on my seat then a lot of game information does. I may just get all Japanese systems and start importing everything. Better then wondering if the good stuff will make it here and intact in it's content.

This update doesn't really effect me, but I sympathize with those it does.
What WOULD effect me is an update that would fry the backwards compatibility. I have one of the old models that still supports it. I play lot of ps2 stuff. A lot. And to my knowledge you cant get the save files off once they are on there. I'm sure there is some way to do it... But if they nuked that in a patch and I essentially lost all my saves.. Yeah. Nerd rage would be abounding.

So looking forward to this! Out of all the MMOs I've played FFXI was always my favorite. But the inability to do anything solo started making the population dwindle. Not too much of a biggie. Then the bots and gil sellers DESTROYED ALL @_@ SE's way of handling it was a phail as well xP

Anything made can be broken. Hack proof is just another way of painting a bullseye. If thats why Sony is doing this, they are going to be disappointed. They will piss off a bunch of people, cause some type of waring between fans AND make hackers try harder to hack the un hackable =/
I mean seriously, nothing is un hackable. Some things just havnt been hacked YET.

I ended up buying it for the ps3 (pre-orded. The collectors guide too. Figured, meh) just because all my FF games are playstation (mostly).
I was gonna buy it for the 360, but my trophies are more pathetic then my achievements. lol.

I'm one of those people that games and don't find Twitter and such as useful as some. Having my fav. game companies on twitter, facebook, etc makes me not feel so left out xD
Where as there is a huge fan base here in the states for JRPGs, they arnt what makes the game world cycle in this country. We seem to be a much much more fps focused country. But we do have a lot of gun nuts here. Not that that a bad thing, aside from guns bore me personally :P
