Oh my lord, tried the demo for Dust 514 and the absense of auto aim is instantly recognizable. The DS3 as you said is great for fighters, but when playing a fps its terrible.
I must be in the minority, but I have had 2 blu ray drives crap the bed on me. Still plays games and DVD's, but will not recognize BR. Costed me about $90 to fix the first one. Not sure if its worth it to fix again. Extremely pissed off because I do watch BR movies. My point is beware, because if the Ps3 is out of warranty Sony will ask for $150 to fix it, or you can go through the pain of getting the parts and fixing it yourself like I did.

That'll teach me for only reading the title, I went shouting it from the roof tops to my friends only to find out that the demo is only available to those who purchased Dragons Dogma. Had a blonde moment.
I hope there is an option to disable the "zoom in" feature during the combat phase, I do not feel its needed. Might be cool though, who knows?

It seems so far away even though we are nearly 7 years into this console cycle. Frankly I just want to put next gen on a shelf for now, all the articles are just sort of frustrating because its all speculation. Until then I want to try and appreciate the great games we have now on all platforms.
I believe it will simply be another option on the next console, and possibly on their tv's and Vita as well. I would use it but I still like my physical format.

I think it's going to come out awesome, and it's looking more promising than Reach. I was actually a little let down with Reach, mainly by the multiplayer maps and the continuous lopsided battles.
Then the games will no longer be judged on graphics, that category will be gone and replaced with something else, like art direction.
The irony is not lost on me,it is stunning how quickly attitudes changed once this was announced.
