I think it's a fair scoring IMO. Microsoft and Sony delivered what I wanted from them. Great games to expect. Nintendo did better than last but still left me underwhelmed. I am pretty excited for Golden Sun, Kingdom Hearts and Metroid though.
I would wait till TGS.
If they were to announce it now and say it will be available for September and probably at $50 price cut (Maybe), people would wait and not buy a PS3 for those 3 months till that slim comes out.

It would be dumb for Sony and Microsoft to release new consoles next year.
Both consoles haven't even reached half time left plus there is still a great amount of potential in the 360 & PS3 to just release another one next year.
Realistically, I see 2012/2013 being the release of new consoles. These consoles life spans might be longer then expected.

Every company hint's big titles to create hype and attention. Kojima is not the only person who does it.
It's been said that the new game will be 7 years AFTER MGS4, so I don't see this game being a remake or a prequel.

I have the game. There is some framerate drops but nothing serious.

It's definitely going to sell. I think it's going to be the most downloaded game on PSN/XBLA. Everybody and their Moms want this game especially since they don't have to roam on eBay no more.

Like I was saying in the chat. It should'nt really matter especially to people with TVs 40 inches and less. 720p is good enough this gen. Most games are not even running native 1080p but still look damn good.
