Nintendo Wii is keeping the VG Industry afloat, but there are no hardcore games being released for it,
As for the PS3/Xbox they do have hardcore games but they are last gen games with prettier graphics.
Please for the love of god stop bringing repetitive FPS/Fighting/Racing/Sport games out that look the same except for the title.
All these game names should have '09 or '10 next to them when they come out.

Capcom should have thrown money at, and begged Shinji Mikami to develop this game. He would have evolved the control designs from RE4 to RE5 way better than this. Like he did with RE3 to RE4
The PS3 version looks awesome, i got to get it now.

RE4 was still Survival Horror, The Village, The Cathedral, The Lab scenes to me were classic survival horror.
RE5 has turned into more like FALLOUT3 and LEFT4Dead than a RE game.
Shinji Mikami brought the series back from the dead and after he left Capcom are readying the shovels again.

Sony made a big mistake in this generation
With the ps2, they used technology the was a few years on the market already, and was relatively cheap, Emotion Engine, DVD etc.
Now though they are using new technology that is still in the early stages of the market life cycle, multi-core processors, Blu ray etc, and so the cost of making these products is still quite high.
Blu ray was ps3 biggest killer.
Sony waited until the dvd had begun to sat...
Last year it was all 'lets be casual'. I didn't think much of it because i had the hardcore games i needed to play for the first half of the year.
Now though Nintendo need to release more Second generation hardcore games. If in this year nintendo continues concentrating on the casual gamers,
while i'd happy they will be leading the market,
I will have to think about buying a '360' or 'PS3' console to fulfill my gaming needs.
What would happen if Mass Effect came to the PS3?

If the developers dont spend the time and money improving every aspect of these games i.e. graphics, controls, new levels etc.
Then i wont spend the time and money buying them. Full Stop.
Would software developers be willing to spend the extra time and use millions of $$$$ to create extra shadows, pixels etc instead of porting a '360' game to the PS3 with minor tweaks.
