HD-DVD is getting it's ass kicked on Amazon.
I wonder what her sources are. I don't really understand the significance of Surfer Girl. Why does anyone care what she says?
The whole Fox will speak with EA on a TV spot sounds a l ot like Activision and Harmonix where Activision will only allow the guitar patch released of Harmonix pays.
Maybe Activision should join up with Fox and start making crappy games with no nudity but lot's of yelling and torturing.
Motorstorm, Warhawk and Killzone2 all use realtime procedural textures. Not for the entire scene but for specific effects. There are probably more that I just don't know.
Two 360 arcade titles use procedural textures but not in realtime. They rather use it to keep the game under 50 MB then excute and cache the textures as bitmaps when first running the game. One of the games, Roboblitz (I think?) exapnds to about 440 MB.
Nice.
I played the PS3 demo last night, the images on the left are not the PS3 version or something has been done to them. The PS3 version looks like the images on the right.
This honestly makes me want to buy a 360 and Mass Effect. This is a good thing, it's uniting us gamers. The real enemy is not PS3 or 360 owners but rather the non-gamer.
Daddy thinks Cooper's been a bad girl... I'll only buy her book if she's naked in it.
Wow, free time I guess.
It's a PS3 exclusive. I suspect this is due to the backlash received from recent games that had framerate/technical issues. The game has a lot of hype too so they need more time to meet it.
Microsoft might as well buy Ubisoft at this point. They're on the payroll. If anything I'd guess this exclusive would go to the 360, although I hope not.
This must be limited to Americans but in any case, who cares. 70% of studios prefer Blu-ray and that matters more.
If Sony wins blu-ray will have helped and if MS wins it'll be because they bought up a ton of 3rd party exclusives.
MS will cause all players to make less money in the end.
Ok fanboys, the following is just a joke, but eh, may have some underlying truth:

Ok... Not really a shot at anyone. It's just obviously something they should market. Microsoft could say "you get what you pay for" I suppose.
I think this is a win-win for PS360 owners. The differences when actually speeding around are very small. If you analyze the heck out of it then sure the PS3 version looks slightly better but not enough to offset the simple difference between two different TVs and no one is going to notice when they actually play it.
Overall, both systems get a solid version of the game and that's what good developers do.
So this is an article about how the PS3 has an error code that uses lights too? This wins dumbest article of 2008.
I guess that's cool but pretty unimpressive demo.
My guess is both of these are set to RGB = Limited lol.
