Its only $199 per stock (going down btw) my house is worth 1000x that so yes I could afford some but I am not banking on a company that only make money from software whilst pissing money down the drain on hardware like xbox.

Lets say there are 120m ps4's and every single ps4 owner bought minecraft at full price (15.99) that would only equal 1.9b in ps4 sales for the most popular game ever and thats assuming every ps4 owner has bought it lol

Will be lucky to make $4b all of next gen even if all the games are being sold on ps5 too, doom eternal only sold 700k on pc its first week and its the heaviest hitter bar eso or fallout.

Maybe with 7.5b bethesda can finally ditch the creation engine and start to catch up to devs like cd projeckt red who are miles ahead in every category.

You know an actual decent open world rpg dev that doesnt use a 20+ year old engine and wont fill the games with microtransactions and stuff like fallout 1st.

$7.5b is double what disney spent on aquiring starwars, in no reality is bethesda even close to being worth half than the whole star wars ip never mind being worth twice as much.

Doubt all those franchises combined have made $7.5b this gen, I think Microsoft have been ripped off but its too early to call.

7.5b equals 116m $60 games, thats not even profit thats just revenue and they cant even shift 50m consoles.

Microsoft would need bethesda games to sell hundred of millions of copies next gen without selling to ps5 users to even come close to this paying off.

Deathloop is a bethesda published game and is exclusive to pc and ps5.

I imagine everything except fallout and eso will be exclusive going forward.

Go read any outworlds review posted on n4g..... All full of xbox fans saying fallout is dead and defunct.

Doom eternal only sold 700k on pc its first week thats only $30 million in sales, microsoft would need to sell 116 million copies to make 7.5b in revenue and to make profit they would need to sell atleast double that number..... Also thats before paying salaries and inves...

7.5b for an aging dev who has put out 3 games in the past 10 years and who have middling studios working on other franchises and none of them are worth 1b is not a good deal imo

Especially when they pissed away all good will on fallout 76, no one liked them yesterday but now they are under xbox get ready for the unjustified hype when according to xbox fans 6 months ago obsidian made them look defunct (not my words)

Yep lots of "reasons" to hold off.

90%+ of gamers wont notice or care until the game they cant have is up for preorder or atleast has a trailer.

In 10 years they have made skyrim / fallout 4 / fallout 76, using the same ancient engine they are not exactly top tier devs anymore.
