Motorstorm 3D is only a demo, demo code is a bad example to judge all fututure games written from the ground up for 3D.
Alot depends on the game genre, I sure you could get a puzzler running at 1080P in 3D.

You will find that PS3 3D firmware update made it's 1.3 HDMI(1.4 3D compilant). Point I was making 360's 1.2 HDMI(isn't 1.3 or 1.4 compilant) due to having half the bandwidth.
This article has it wrong, 1080P 24FPS has always been a Blu-ray movie mode whether 2d or 3D, never been for games. Reason games are 720P is because 3D requires two images per frame to be generated. PS3 is still pushing alot of pixels. also PS3 supports 1.3(upgradeable to 1.4 HDMI). Something the 360 only dream of with it's shit 1.2 HDMI(non upgradeable).
PS3 Slims lower price point was achieved by a hardware redesign, smaller, lighter, cooler, quieter amd used more effient chipset to do this.
PS3 Slim added a larger hard drive, better sound & Bravia sync.
Made a miles bigger impact sales wise than 360S has.
I just want a PS4 to be like PS3, with a beefed up Cell CPU with more SPU's(maybe 24 or 36 with some disabled to increase yeilds), beefed up RSX2, more memory(4Gb or 6Gb shared between System/Graphics, Blu-rayXL x6 or x10, also be backwards compatible with PS3(maybe have a mode that can turn off part of the Cell & RSX2, so it acts as if it's a PS3), upgradeable 2.5 or 3.5 hard drive.
Also all games need to be locked at 1080P 60FPS.

It's actually the other way round Valve needs PlayStation. Reason PS3 is the only console to see year on year growth. Valve could'nt ignore a growing PS3 user base. Considering PC & 360 are rife with piracy, and PS3 is piracy free.
