Right, but instead of fixing what was broken Sony just decided to scrap one system and then another to get to where it is today. If you need a prime example of what a mismanaged MMO is, just look at SWG. That game is just a joke now.
It can't be more a failure than Star Wars Galaxies is.
I'd rather have a game like J.E. Sawyer wanted to do, a Fallout game set during the Resource Wars.
If they want to come back to PC, then the first thing they would need to make is a new Combat Flight Simulator.

How "new" are you to gaming? Because that was only 8 years ago, and Call of Duty came out only a year after Allied Assault did.
I won't be getting either. If I want to play Call of Duty, then I'll play the original one because that's the only one I can stand anymore. If I want to play Medal of Honor, I'll play Medal of Honor Allied Assault.
I'm tired of regenerating health and all the other crap that has been added to FPS games. It was fine the way it was, but oh no in order to make games more appealing to people we have to make them easier.
The original Call of Duty requires more skill than CoD4. And I mean the original one on PC not the PS3/360 port.

That has got to me the stupidest thing I have heard all day. Piracy will always be around.
Microsoft doesn't need consoles to be successful. But they still have more than enough money to throw around to develop them, take a loss on them, and they would still be making money hand over fist.
I would have liked to try the beta since they sent me an email with the first round, but I don't have a PS3 anymore. I guess I'll just have to wait until it comes out on PC to try it.
I hope Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Battlefield 1942/2, and Star Wars Battlefront are on there.

Microsoft could continue with DVDs next generation, but only if they had large hard drives standard with the console and had mandatory installs for all the games.
You could do the same thing for the PS4 and beyond, Blu-Ray with large hard drives and full installs of games. But I don't think Microsoft, Sony, or Nintendo would ever do some thing like that.
Yeah, I think I'll stick with my 1983 CJ-7.
