I hope it turns out equal on both consoles.
@darkride66
When did I personally attack you bro?
You acknowledged your own post could be considered trolling and yet you posted it anyway, not once but twice (the first post was collapsed for trolling).
Why? This is positive news, why not wait a few hours until a "M$ are WRONG about their UK numbers" article that's bound to pop up? Hell why post it at all? Why care enough to do the research in the first place?
...
I'm sure you did this level of research for Sony and Nintendo also? I mean it would only make sense seeing as the Xbox 360 isn't the only console on the market.
Or are you just trolling a positive Xbox 360 article? Na, you wouldn't do that right?
This part is the most interesting part:
"As before we randomly presented a survey to visitors coming from a search engine after searching for a console specific game"
The games in question can be anywhere from Halo 3 - Haze or Too Human - MGS4.
I always question supposed factual evidence when the variables for it's research are vague.
What;
Console specific game (which implies ONE for each console)
Search engine
...
Release platforms: PS3, PSP
Yep! I'm gonna go with $$$'s being the deciding factor here (Sony's pub fund).
This is terrible. The first Badcompany (at least for me) suffered no major issues shortly after launch (PS3).
I mean, yes there is an extra platform in the mix with Badcompany 2 and possibly higher demand and popularity than the first game (durrr). But I can't shake the feeling that all this could have been avoided (or partially) by having a beta for every platform and slightly overestimating server load.
^ Maybe you misunderstood. At around the time MS stated they sold 9 million in "Europe" and were 1 million ahead in "Europe", Sony stated they (Sony) sold 10 million in PAL territories which includes not just most of "Europe" but also combines sales from Asia, Africa, South America, Australia, New Zealand.
Europe: http://upload.wik...
I would just like to point out that there was a full length article about this a while ago, explaining the reasons for MS's claim.
Sony stated they sold 10 million in "(PAL) territories" the keyword word begin PAL. As many people know (or according to this blog and many posts here, don't know) the PAL region doesn't just represent (most of) Europe. But also includes Asia, Africa, South America, Australia, New Zealand - wikipedia
Here's a map of PAL territor...
Terrible...but understandable.
Hardly a "better" comparsion - using the Ps3's advanced color settings vs the 360's default settings...
Now a comparsion with both RGB & superwhite (PS3) and Expanded mode (360) enabled is a more equal comparsion right?
Just like having both consoles on their defaults is equal..
off-topic:
You shouldn't single out PS3 fanboys. 360, PC, and (when you are lucky enough to see one) wii fanboys, are just as bad or even worse at times.
It goes both ways bro.
