100% agree, overated game.
Atmosphere is great, narration too, but i think the mecanisms of gameplay are really poor or average that it's considerably minus the game.
The end of the game is very cliché, there's no exploration, and animations are not so good, pleasant game but nothing more.

I'm wondering how can people make a review for a game that bases 75% of its content on online multiplayer when the PSN is offline since almost a week now.
That just shows to everybody how much incompetent are people that write review for the games everyone could play if reviews were aiming at the right goal and if people were doing correctly their job.

Really cool, i was really fed up with Halo like it was. i think that this serie became very overated.
It's really nice to have a true evolution now.

Recycled areas, technically average, difficulty tuned down, poor narration, i really expected something better than the first episode and finally this episode fails at all levels.

i defend a lot this criticism toward webzines on N4G.
And i agree.
The problem is that webzines are copying each others, and the model is the bigger ones. So if big zines are crap automatically the followers are inspired by them.
If you add to this all the "console war" atmosphere, to make hits, you have an idea of the amount of shit those webzines deliver each and everyday.
By extension, the other problem is the pub...
A game for oldschoolers that know before Call of Duty on their consoles they were playing Socom.
Ok anonymous, i see your point, fighting the industry to give people more choice and freedom. ok, ok.
But by systematically attacking Sony, i think this fight is too centered on only a corporation. it likes Anonymous says : "Hey guys Sony is Satan but the rest of the industry is cool".

Maybe there will be better FPS multiplayer games at the end of the year, but this one has a solo campaign that looks really interesting in terms of atmosphere.

When i saw uncharted 3 multiplayer i wasn't chocked by the graphics, it looked very "Uncharted 2". And the scene in the Chateau was nice but nothing that made me think that Uncharted 3 will be better in terms of graphics than Uncharted 2.
I think Naughty Dogs must work as never they did, because expectations are maybe bigger that what they are about to deliver.

SOCOM on PS2, i remember this serie always with a smile in my mind.
On the previous generation consoles it was a good alternative to other shooters and it was a cool online game. The games on consoles were not specially great in terms of visuals and graphics but Socom was ok, not a killer game in terms of graphics but it has good animations and nice sounds effects.
Its gameplay was not specially noobfriendly, it has a nice depth and was very tactical.

This game should be on every gaming platform of this generation. Every gamer should have a chance to play it.

It's a TPS, war oriented, like SOCOM except it's more Sci-Fi oriented.

I read a lot of review saying this game had average graphics when i see games like homefront, medal of honor, call of duty, or tps like gears of war; i don't feel the game is so ugly.
Anyway lot of reviews say also that the gameplay is average that's an other problem.
I don't know if it's true, havn't played the beta.
Really weird explosions.
Naughty Dogs said they were working on fire effects, when i see some explosions in the multiplayer it looks very flat, no pyro effects and the smoke is not so good.
Animations looked more polished but nothing impressive, very Uncharted 2.
Hope for them they'll push things further, for the moment i'm not impressed.
