I downloaded the SC4 demo, after its downloaded/installed everything is in english.
I didn't buy the first one, but i really enjoyed the PSN demo for some reason. I suppose the franchise is getting old though.

The Open Beta is not coming out until this fall or winter.
The maintenance may very well be for Life With PlayStation, or the closed Home beta, but that is all.

The description might be a little mis-leading for some, they're referring to the expansion of the closed beta of Home by the end of the month. Not the open beta for everyone.
