For being a "closed" beta this really wasn't all that exclusive, any one who really wanted to play in it got the chance.
Pre-ordering is fine when they offer special deals on it. Other than that i don't pre-order. There really isn't that many games that sell out.

We have a arcade and gaming section for this reason, classic games are still played and held dear for a lot of gamers.
Why would Nintendo want to keep any Wii games secret at this point, They need to start getting gamers hyped for upcoming games even if their coming out next year because Microsoft and Sony are so why can't they?
Pre-ordering isn't every retailers wet dream like they make it off to be. A lot of it is the pre-ordering gives an idea of how much stock and such to get in.
This late in the PSP life cycle i don't know what this article hopes to accomplish, i kinda doubt it's going to convince more people to buy the PSP especially since the slim is eminent.
I wonder how the custom armor is going work, can you morph it into whatever you want or is it like the emblems where there is is just a certain amount of set configurations. I really hope it's the former.

I would say try to rent it at least, Game reviewers seem to think that the standard way of online play is the only way to go and something that doesn't offer the same or the same improved is always shunned.
Hopefully some day developers will realize that if a game is used professionally that it will further the game's life and perhaps then developers could making the Professional Gaming scene a little more consistent and professional.
