So much positive buzz on this so far...it's really snowballing into the holiday season pretty nicely for Microsoft. I'm glad I got mine, because they'll be hard to find before long. At least until after the holidays.
I don't know anything about Impulse. Steam has bee great though.
Sadly my computer isn't up to snuff for playing newer games. I wish could afford to keep updating, but since I can't I mostly game on consoles now. This game sounds interesting though.
LOL @ "their inevitable release." In a way it's fun for these franchises to continue on, but in another way it'd be nice to see more new IPs and fewer rehashes of old licenses.
Who says video games aren't educational? These are real life lessons being taught! :-)
What in the world? What was wrong with the old Dante? I don't think this re-imaging is necessary.
Arkham Asylum gives Batman the edge at this point, but I enjoy Spider-Man's powers and being him more. I hope Shattered Dimensions is as good as it's potential.
I wish reviewers would truly utilize the full scale. It seems like 90% of the games fall into the top 40% of the scale. That shouldn't happen. That being said, the actual write-up is far more important than the score.
Never thought of Sackboy as a hero before...but great choice!
With games moving more toward episodic releases (Alan Wake, Fable III, DLC packs), I can see this mechanic and delivery system becoming more and more prominent. I'd rather play smaller chunks of my favorite games more often than have to wait 2-3 years between major releases. Episodic release makes a lot of sense, but the story/gameplay has to support that style.
LOL @ "should have remained hidden!"
Some people get so into it. It's not for me, but it's nice they enjoy it so much. Good for them.
I'm not a huge fighting game fan and don't understand the whole VS craze, but it'll be interesting to see how this is received since it involves two beloved fighting game franchises.
They'll probably mostly be family games, but I'm hoping for at least a few good hardcore games. Dance Central at least will be awesome.
I've never even played a DQ game, and don't know much about the series. I didn't realize it was comparable to FF. Sadly, I'll probably never find time to play one.
I'd love to be able to have a couple old pinball machines. It'd be hard to pick which ones, though.
A good recap for those that may be new to the system. Nothing wrong with that, so thanks for the info.
I had high hopes for this one, but it sounds really disappointing. I'm going to pass.
I was going to skip this one this year, but I loved the way the demo played and will be picking it up after all. I like the changes. I just wish it had the new playcalling mode that Madden has. Maybe next year.
...and I have a crush on Raychul. So there.
It's probably only a matter of time. The biggest games to the highest bidders. It's the American way.
I'm not emotionally tied to either franchise, so I'll have to rent these and see which I prefer. Both sound intriguing.
