I'm a huge darksiders fan. I bought the first darksiders special edition and the collectors for darksiders 2 and even rebought 2 for PC in the deathinitive edition. Its probably tied with Infamous as my favorite gen 7 game. War inspired by Link, Death - Prince of persia, i figured strife would be Dante, and Fury would be Belmont. I badly want darksiders 3

Why shouldnt they? PC has had higher resolutions for years and can change them on the fly no extra downloads or money required. Even sleeping dogs GRID, and GTA4 released hi resolution packs for free just required a download. Consoles are closer now to PCs then they've ever been. Any multiplats should absolutely not require extra money.... though i guess i may understand console exclusives require it because the games werent made with high textures in mind... having said that i can see a ...
couple of extra thoughts
It would definitely be interesting to see game developers/publishers to publish there games at a price that was more indicitive of production costs vs projected sales. obviously NMS didnt cost as much as most other games to make and produce nor did it have the same huge advertising budget. (destiny im looking at you)
I mean thats where a lot of DLC comes in supposedly is to help bring profits in line with production costs....

In a lot of ways games are actually priced at what the market will bear. Its not the best system but it actually works pretty well
Many of the great games you mentioned that are <40$ are indie titles. small development teams and low cost graphical systems and even advertising bring down the production cost and so selling the game at a lower price is easier for the developers to do. they arent any publishers to pay either. just the small cost of lisensing digital distrobu...

lower graphical performance is to be expected as the 970 (the minimum for oculous) is quite a bit more powerful then the ps4 graphic chip but i'm happy to hear valkyrie plays just as well

by definition games must have rules of play as well as win and lose conditions. If you can't point a game and say
"This is how you win... This is how you lose... and this is how you Play..."
Then i don't really consider it to be a game. Video or otherwise.
In god of war you win by destroying the enemy you lose by losing your life and you play by pressing buttons in combination to attack and defend yourself.

Darksiders was my favorite new IP of the last generation I would love a sequel featuring strife or fury however I'm just not sure the possibility exists for a proper sequel anymore there's been really no good word from Nordic games ever since they acquired the IP and all the people from vigil have moved on to different teams half of them are working on a new game with Joe Madureira

Yea basically you earned points for kills and after acruing 25 points total ( not in one life) the game afforded you an opportunity to play as a hero (usually dependent on the map sometimes jedi sometimes han solo or leia (and visaversa for imperial) And yes they were much more powerful than your average troop they could move really fast and killed most things with a swing of the saber and could force push and pull (leia and han usualy had a very powerful blaster combined with a few nice util...

the ps4 and xbone were both about a 7850 -7870 which was a 200 dollar card
the price of the pspro was 400 cause the 480 is a 200 dollar card
console = graphics card + 200 dollars
a 6 TFLOP card is basically a 1070 which is a 400 dollar card right now but i can see it droping to 300 by the end...
