It was not that stupid. There was just no attachment to the character. Due to not being in the previous games. But a game with the character before he turned probably would have been good & players got to know him a bit. The lying they did also did not do them any favors
You dont have to do all of them for the first ending at least
On the XBOX One I got the original ending with 7 no problem
They care more about stopping piracy. By using Denuvo. They would even prefer to lose sales it seems. Instead of letting the pirates get it
