A game that is not surrounded by so much hype gets a deserved review. and 8.7 a good score, Left for dead 2 looks fantastic.

The game needed challenges separate to the single player with co-op.
Just cause it says co-op doesnt mean its story co-op.

I agree, being a religious Metal Gear playing owning all games including subsistence and substance, 4's story was a let down, HOWEVER emotions were strongest in 4 making it special in its own right.
I can really see how new comers to the series wont like the game.

I somewhat agree with the article.
Deeper meaning in games are pretty much shunned, who wants to know about feelings and moral while you can blow stuff up is the common conception.
However the metal gear solid series are my favorite of all time, so i hope to think i care about those things the article says xD

God reviewers have lost it, giving 9s out like candy, IGN gave 3 9.5s in like a month. countless 9s this year.
Remember the times when games scored over a 9 was ground breaking.
Now 10s dont even matter, how sad.
