AFAIK it will probably even be out first on the PS3(unless the 360 version was being worked on since development of the PS3 version started, which is false I believe).
That said, its a huge blow to Sony and the PS3. Thank God Kojima is still loyal.

Whats funny though, is that 360 fanboys try their hardest to make it look like they don't care about PS3 games like MGS4 when they do.

That several countries in Europe (namely Spain, Portugal and France I think) didn't get MGS4 on June 12th due to a major truckers strike. Portugal (where I live) got the game today but I'm not even sure if Spain got it already because the strike over there is still going. Donno about France either.
So yeah, Spain is a big gaming market in Europe, one of the biggest actually, so don't forget to add up the numbers from Spain, etc. when MGS4 hits there.

The Playstation brand is as strong as we know it because of the exclusive games that have been the 'image' of the Sony consoles. Usually exclusive Playstation titles push the boundaries of the machines they're on more so then multi-platform titles, IMO.
Stuff like Final Fantasy (although not since the first), Tekken, God of War, Twisted Metal, Metal Gear, etc. and more recently Uncharted, Resistance and MotorStorm, amongst others are franchises deeply conotated with the Playstati...
