We pay up to 119$AUD (89.3USD) for games in Australia. When you buy five games you can nearly buy a whole new Xbox 360. Some are selling for $580 Premium.
I am buying all original this time, but its costing a fortune and im unable to buy the games I want. Also i have to trade in games and not keep them. It really sucks!
It would help if games wernt $110 AUD each. Thats 83.03USD for you americans.
So for 5 games thats 550$. Almost enough to buy another console.
If games were more affoardable, or atleast the same cost as it is in america people will buy orignals more and not result to such measures.
I for one am not risking modding mine, but im sure as heck am going to be broke with all these great games coming!
"GT5 looks like if it will surpass Forza 2 because of the PS3's cell, rsx, and blu-ray which will make the game be The Real Driving Simulator of next year. And Probably a long time after that too. "
So your saying that becasue the PS3 has better/superior hardware, GT3 will be better? Well then Forza must be better then GT4 because Xbox has superior hardware then PS2...
Hardware doesnt make a great game. Look at GTA SA, How crap that looked on my PS2 yet...
What things? Damage?
Forza already has damage..
A decent physics engine with decent handling thats actualy realistic? Lets hope so. Im sure they will. But still no matter how great and better it may be then Forza, Im not wasting my money this time to buy a Playstation for one game.
Maybe in 4 or 5 years when there cheaper.
Why hanvt they been working on a new GT since GT4, why only a slight upgrade? Theres no excuse, they have had t...
I have GT3, GT4 Prolouge then finaly got GT4. GT was fun, but not nearly as much fun as Forza nor as realistic.
Of course it sold more, It was a well established title. But selling more copies doesnt mean its better, just more popular.
Even so, if you like GT more then Forza then obviously GT is better.
However for me, I want a realistic simulator, and GT just doenst cut it. Forza done in one go what GT hasnt done in 4!
I understand your point, what im saying though is us Australians are paying nearly double of what Americans are paying for, for the same game. I doubt the money is going to the makers, more so a huge markup from the stores or something?
It would be better if we could buy directly from the publisher or maker in the first place, that way more profit would go to them instead of shops, perhaps in turn lowering the prices a little as well.
