It has everything to do with laziness being cheap or stubbornness on EA's part. They could have lead on PS3 and probably still sold more on 360. Really what true gamer cares about the Wii?!! Most parents that are buying a Wii Know nothing about video games and are buying it for kids who either dont know what Nintendo's quality standards used to be or they're people looking for profit on Ebay. This happened before on Dead or Alive for the PS2 verses the Dreamcast version. The Dreamcast version was superior but we all Know what happened in the end. You fell to consider how many non gaming consumers are considering buying a PS3 simply because its the cheapest way to get a Blu Ray player. actually 400 now and 200 later as oppose to paying 500 all at once. a 400 dollar 360 plus a 200 dollar HD DVD add on is equal to a 500 dollar PS3 not the 600 dollar one. It is certainly possible and would be a good thing for them to avoid paying Immersion.I think Sony's intent is to avoid paying any royalties to Immersion especially if its true that Microsoft owns an interest in them. All new games could automatically be made to support it and games that are made before this rumble controller(if and I hope they do make it) can be supported by a down-loadable patch. Insomniac never said this will definitely be in 1080p. they only said they were trying for it.720p is good enough for any console game for the time. 1080p is more of a luxury for people who have those tvs or will get them in the future. besides its a launch game. how many 360 games go beyond 720p? very few if any. if sony can get any launch games at 1080p that saying something.
even if this cloud power advantage is true you would have to be online to use it. so in a way you do require to always be online just to play certain games. Microsoft isn't being full truthful about always being connect to the internet, at least not when it comes to just generally playing games like watch dogs
