I don't think you were harsh at all, Cpt. I actually think that "confabulation," which is a new favorite word is a FAR more likely answer than Mandela Effect. I personally think the Mandela Effect is attaching mysticism to something that is quite mundane. I do admit to not having a lot of grounding in mental health simply because I've never been interested in researching it farther than the basics.
Thank you very much!
I understand that memories can be a somewhat fluid thing. I mention that remembering things off is normal. I wanted to go after those who instantly assume it's some kind of mysticism instead of basic biology.
In any case, thank you for reading and your apt criticism.
1. Agreed, but I mention that the planetside thrust seems to not be too destructive as it leaves no trace on the planet's surface.
2. Also agreed and that's why I made sure to mention the use of inertial dampening from in game text.
3. Warp drive via Alcubierre metric doesn't fold space between two places, it warps space around a starship. Yes, it's far outside current technology but I have hope one day it might work.
4. Thank you for your excellen...
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm also a collector who's a bit slower on picking stuff now due to price. I'm honestly more into collecting handhelds currently as they're still lots of fun and they won't break the bank.
Great article, and excellent image work.
That's why I said "partly." I absolutely agree with you on the AAA market being increasingly geared to one audience, and that certainly has affected things. That said, both are just part of why retrogaming has boomed.
Thanks! I admit to being probably the last WiiU owner who hasn't played Splatoon yet. It's on my backlog, I swear!
Thanks for reading, and I most certainly enjoyed writing this one.
Thank you for reading.
A good point. I was more meaning that Nintendo occupies a section of console gaming that is uniquely them, and much different than the images Sony and Microsoft seem to be promoting lately. Thanks for reading.
A great way of looking at one of the greatest games ever made.
Fantastic article on how a gamer deals with being at war.
It was hard enough for me, who really doesn't like CoD, to play through a game for this article. I really don't hate myself enough to listen to Bieber. Ever. Still, this comment made me laugh out loud. Well done.
This is easily one of your best videos, Levi. Great work.
This was freaking fantastic. Excellent work.
Just wanted to reply that your username made me actually laugh out loud.
I mentioned that Contra and Contra Force had rising values for two different reasons, but you are correct that rarity - especially in the case of Contra Force - is what determines value.
I am not a comic collector or even a reader but you make an interesting parallel. What's unique about collecting games and collecting comics is that you are actually collecting something that has value besides aesthetics. You can be entertained playing a game or reading a good comic book...
Hi, guys. I'm the guy who wrote this. Sorry for the late replies, long day at work.
I apologize if I came off a little too harsh against the theory, I get going a little too strong sometimes. Uth11 hit the nail on the head as to why I disbelieve in aliens with the almighty Occam's Razor.
Foxtrot, I'm of the same belief about pushy religious people. I'm one of those weird Christians who doesn't believe in creationism, miracles or forcing pe...
Thanks! I'm hoping to try that one one day.
