To some degree, I agree with you. I don't think the value proposition is worth it. I will not pay for it. I bought Pokemon Sword and I played it a lot. But that's it. I'm not outraged by it, I'm just not interested in it.
The way I see it is, I will spend my money on another game, but overall I will probably spend more money on video games than people who only play pokemon. So who am I to tell other people what they should spend their money on.

Gamepass isn't $1 all the time they are just offers. If you were smart enough to buy 3 years of gold and convert for $1 great, but you still paid $180 for three years of Gold. But most people will just get the first 3 months for $1 then it goes up. Ultimate is £11.

People who are fans of thing are willing to pay money for said things, it's completely normal. You may think it's a scam, but people had to develop these tools. Everybody jumps to the worst conclusion like they know the inner workings of the developers.

I am assuming Xbox will use the same disc to play the game on all consoles, since there is forward and backward comparability.
If Sony is making the PS5 backward compatible, this strategy will not be as viable as between PS3 and PS4.

Regardless of the RPG or action game, it's still ridiculous to have this much cut content to be for sale on day one.
And now we see the real motive behind shifting to more RPG like. I am really disappointed in this approach. This is the definition of cutting content and selling it to us for more money. It is literally available from day one. Why couldn't most of things already be in the game?
I can accept DLC that comes 3 - 6 months after release because it took time to create the content. But this has already been advertised before release and is available as Day One paid DLC.

Days Gone is the only AAA 1st Party exclusive that Sony released this year. Last year they only had God of war, Which was brilliant. Where is Sony's famous 1st party output that everyone always goes on about?
