I was next to a guy in GAME today who was pre ordering X1 for his son. After talking about the console he asked 'how much' the employee said £429, through his teeth. The look of shock, almost like a fight or flight response, on his face said it all to me. Needless to say he choose not to pre purchase it.
So maybe all the sales from parents to thier children, who can't even dress themselves let alone make informed decisions won't happen.

No no no no. The wii sold to casual gamers because it was cheap. Look what happened when the WiiU was released at a larger price. Point being, casuals don't casually spend £429. Only the elite, die-hard, foaming at the mouth fans will spend that much.
Didn't really see anything that changed my mind. Hopefully Dead Rising 3 will go multi plat or it will just be a great game I will never play.

Look how the wii sold to casuals. You would have to argue that it was advertised as such, and also priced as such. When the WiiU came out the casual market didn't follow, and the reason being. It costs the same, more actually, as your core gaming consoles. Casuals want something cheap that they can play with every now and then. If people think that the new XBOX will just sweep up all the casuals the Wii left behind, I would point you to the WiiU.
