Well the thing is is that NCIX isn't really a custom PC shop. They are a computer parts store who just happen to be willing to put those parts together for you. If you want for what is basically a labor charge before they ship those parts to you. They don't do any custom wiring or tweaking which is supposedly what you are paying the 100-200 extra dollars for with those custom PC shops. Alienware no longer exists its just Dell now using the Alienware name to rip people off.
If you really don't want to put the thing together yourself use a shop like NCIX.com they will for the most part let you build a comp with what ever parts you want and will toss it together and test it for not much more then labor cost. I think its a flat $50 now from NCIX.com.

Here is the problem with doing it that way. The whole point of these games being setup the way they are is that you build the universe through your decisions. Without an ME1 save your left with the default ME2 game.
There are ways around publishing contracts hopefully EA takes one of them or else I think this will be a mistake for them.
As other have said all they have to do is make a few minor updates and call it mass effect directors cut or something unless the original publishing contract specifically says that they also have to the rights to any iterations of it as well. But if they want to put the money in to it and try and cram it in the ME2 engine they can probably get around it that way. They will probably stick to one of the three cities they already have established in the GTA fiction. (I don't think they count the early overhead games as part of the current GTA fiction since they have been staying away from calling the cities by real city names since the PS2 games.)

@ShadyDevil What signs? Only thing I seen them say about PS+ was that you would still have to pay the sub even if you have PS+. And the only things I seen them announce for the beta was you can signup for it now and they where giving away VIP beta codes at comic-con.
And a few sites are reporting that they said at comic-con that it would be starting the first week of august but even that doesn't seem to have any official announcement yet.

Actually it has nothing to do with the power of the xbox and has everything to do with Microsoft wanting complete control of any thing that goes up on xbox live. Most mmo devs are not willing to force people to pay two subs nor are they willing to split the earnings with Microsoft on their subs so Microsoft turns them down every time.
Really I can't see many 3rd party MMORPG getting on the consoles. Sony even owns %30 of square which is why PS3 is getting Final Fantasy 14...
