This is probably around the 50th time i made this comment on N4g ; A score number does not really tell much about a video game , the actual words typed in the review actually tells a lot about the video game from the reviewer .
As far a bonus for developers for good review scores goes; What if a triple A game recieves high scores from critics but the video game loses millions of dollars, do the developers still get a bonus ? I guess that may vary between different publ...
The original DOOM is the scariest game i ever played!! The dark lighting, animal monster sounds and most important, being in First Person Mode took horror in video games to a new level back in the mid 90's.
My guess why they are using the 'Prey' title is because i believe 'Prey 2' had around 70 thousand pre-orders in USA without a release date before they cancelled the game.
To be honest, i do not care what they call the new 'Prey' game . If it is a good game, then i am on board.
Breaking thru walls and caves in Red Faction was awesome back in the early 2000's. I am surprised that video games today do not use that feature that much anymore . I am interested to see how much the new upcoming Battlefield game will utilize destructible environments.
My little complaint about digital video games is, there is no charts at all tracking the amount of units sold of digital video games .
Yeah , i agree that the assault rifle in DOOM 2016 MP does feel very week . And yeah i also agree, the plasma gun was also very strong in DOOM 2016 campaign and not too bad in DOOM 2016 multiplayer .
And, i am really looking forward to the free DLC with Free-for-All and old school deathmatch modes, hopefully coming in late August early September .
I remember going over my friends house, watching his gameplay on TV for 2 hours and finish Metroid in enough time to get to see Sammus in a bikini, back in 1986.

The assault rifle from Red Faction 1 and 2 was pretty bad azz also. I think had something to do with red display on the gun round counter.
I love the Heavy Assault Rifle from DOOM 2016. I really like the mini rocket launcher mod attached to the Heavy Assault Rifle (SP).
I am really enjoying the DOOM 2016 MP . I like collecting pick ups all over the maps in between deaths and kills.
But really lookin forward to the Free DLC coming later this month with old school original DOOM Free-for-all Deathmatch
And again, please make some single player story DLC for DOOM 2016 .
I remember back in the 80's you had to look at the box art to find out about a video game. There were hardly any reviews of video games at all in the 80's .

I will wait for the 'Quick Look' for NO MAN's SKY by 'Giant Bomb' to decide if i will buy this game.
My local Gamestop has just dedicated a big wall dedicated to collectable's . This collectable trend is a big thing with consumers right now .
Gene Rodenberry did the same thing with 'Star Trek' tv show back in the late 60's.
I wish they had the 'DOOM Classic Complete' available on PS4 . The only reason i use my PS3 is play to classic DOOM .
Also i would love to play John Romero's new classic DOOM levels on 8th gen. consoles !!
