This is VR it works way better that way...
and also the "on rails" comments, there are more free roaming games than on rails games in VR

I have A WMR and I have used a Vive, the point I am making is that the people who poo poo VR are saying its expensive when its not and are using the PSVR as a reference and that system is not as good as the Vive or Oculus. My WMR tracking is not as good as the Vive either but when the price difference was 299 vs 650 it was a no brainer, especialy as I am viewing it as a stop gap for the next gen versions
I paid $299 for my headset, relativly cheap I think and the setup running it is below what most gamers on pc have for there games machine so its not really expensive. Oculus are bringing out a standalone unit next year which I think will be the way VR will go and as intergrated chips get better the headsets will improve. Not sure Sony's version helped too except make people think VR is not as good as they thought, the tracking is not quite as good as the vive or rift and resolution is low...

Didn't the mega drive have a disk player add-on, I am sure there was more.
No hate, but you really have to persist but at the end of the day if your happier using an Xbox controller or PS4 controller then that's great too its what you like to play with you should use what you find more fun. What I don't like is when people say "I had it for a few days, hated it don't buy it its a waste of money" or "Xbox controller is way better don't waste your money" that doesn't help anyone make an informed choice.
Took me a few months to get used to the gyro now it just comes naturally without thinking about it.
For me I upgraded when it first came out not because I love, I don't, but because direct X12 if I need it.
Saying that I have hopes for Vulkan and when the point comes when I no longer want to play Planetside 2 and Battlefield 4, it is only these games holding me to windows, then SteamOS will be my preferred choice.
I run a dual boot system and if I have a game that is available in SteamOS then I install it on that
I keep hearing people saying terrible design the buttons are in the wrong place blah blah blah. Well Valve only added the buttons and the stick for people who could use it as it was designed. I map the buttons onto the right track pad so I don't have to click far to press those buttons. The actual buttons I rarely use unless I need a camera change button etc.
The one thing I think Valve are wrong on is the stick, for FPS the stick is better than having the left pad mappe...
If you have a mouse and keyboard and you like it then you wont want to get one and that's fine as this controller is not built for you guys but for those people who consider playing games with a controller.

Ah yes the whole city is destructible I would like to see this running as intended but I only saw one building come down, That's what I mean by "cant XBox One do this by itself".
Edit - Ok now I have seen a better video of the game with more of the destruction part and yes your right the XBox may not be able to run that, looks nice :).
Surly that's within the XBox One's capability without the cloud, looks cool and all but I don't see why it needs power from the cloud to simulate that.

Is it just me or should this be the thing that gets the attention not the bit about Valve getting most of the money. Valve shouldn't be allowed to just take your mod from you.

So for me I would use a keyboard and mouse if I had the space but I don't so I rely on controllers, I tried the 360 controller but it sucks at aiming for FPS so bought a razor hydra. The hydra is good but wires everywhere so cant wait for this I don't care if you wont get the precision you get from a mouse and keyboard but it should be better than the console controllers.
