This is one game I might have to dust off the PS2 for. Looks like some really good new content for one of the best systems of all time.
Some communities and sites and areas get information before others. It's due to a number of reasons. But the bottom line is, other places may get a few screenshots early or some site updates but big events like the beta start simultaneously worldwide.
When the China bet starts, the world-wide beta will start.
Yeah, if they were "money mongering" like you said I doubt they'd go with comic books. I'm not really into comics but this is a series I'm definitely going to check out. I've read a couple of the StarCraft novels and they were fun, I think the universe and genre is more suited to comic books though imo.

It's key to keep MMOs fresh though. Even if it has no bugs updates are necessary to keep it interesting.

They're just trying to appease the D2 players who like big items and without putting the grid inventories back. I agree that the grid inventory is pointless. This could be interesting, seems a little superfluous though.
