I was hoping for some explaination as to why only journalists were allowed to see the single-player demo at E3 in this weekly update. Instead all we get is a load of damage control for the online co-op story and a lifesize warthog.

Whilst there are plenty of other multiplayer games out there, I don't think many match Halo 2's easy matchmaking facilities and it's innovative playlists. I find it remarkable that no new multiplayer FPS games have since copied Halo 2 in this aspect.
Why oh why oh why oh why didn't you show the rest of us some campaign gameplay footage bungie??? WHY DAM YOU??? Especially as this appears to be more impressive than the trailer!
I have to say that Sony have the potential to wipe the floor clean thanks to Microsoft's poor E3 performance this year. Sorry as I am to say, being a 360 owner.

It is strange that this pic was released. Surely Sony and Guerrilla aren't blind, surely they can tell themselves that this is nowhere near the E3 '05 trailer. Perhaps either Sony or Guerrilla sent this image out to lower everyone's expectations prior to E3?? If not, then there's sure to be some dissapointed gamers out there!
So you're trying to say that Sony is going to drop the price of the PS3 to £250 here in the UK? That's a drop of £140 judging by what you bought the PS3 for, in dollars that's $280! I don't think so. More than likely it'll be drop of around £50-70 bringing the PS3 down to around £325 (if there is a drop in the price at all!!).
For me it's still too dam expensive for a games console.
Who buys their game consoles from a retailer famous for clothes and food anyway?? Especially one that on the most part targets a female consumer base.

I'm nearly done on "Fall of Reach". Great book, gives you good insight into the background of the Spartans and the invasion etc. Gonna get the rest of the books too, looks like my only fill of halo until the game!

Halo 3 is shaping up nicely. Although people complain that the graphics are not up to scratch, personally I think they're looking pretty good and they're getting more and more polished everytime we see them.
Having heard that 80% of bungie are working on the single player campaign, hopefully we'll see some impressive footage of that soon too!
Bring on E3 and bring on September!!
I can't seem to go back to playing halo 2 since the beta, I wish they had just kept it going!!! Still, it's good to read up on some new info, I can't wait for the custom armour, camera views on the saved films and the new maps and vehicles. Shrine in particular looks crazy, a big team battle should be mayhem with all the vehicles on that map!
