This is pretty cool actually. I dont understand why Sony waited so long to do this. If I were them or making the decisions over there, I would have not added Backward compatability to the PS3 at all but rather given the PS2 a price drop for people that wanna play PS2 games so I can reduce the cost of the PS3.
They would have easily launched the PS3 at 80GB and for $499 or even less

EDIT: Interesting, the last paragraph on the page says a new RPG will be revealed before the end of this month (no platform announced) and another one will be announced September or October (TGS).
Dude, am amazed at the fact that Sony did not show any rpg's for PS3 (understandable since they might be saving some for TGS and also since this was more of a conference for NA than the rest of the world.) but yet have so many in development that we just don't know about.
I was hoping to at least see WKS.
At this point, your best bet is to not trust any third party developer that makes a game exclusive to a system unless the system holder( Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo) is helping publish the title.

Hope we get to see some details on this at TGS though. Anyone have any idea when playstation premiere is happening ? Last year, it was just 4 days after E3 and the amount of new games that were announced there were just mind blowing ( GT5:P, Valkyria and others)
Great assumption actually. I wouldn't be surprised if almost everybody that owned 360 also owned a PS3 or is just waiting for the game to launch so they can pick up one.
This I agree with. Funny thing is, we will continue seeing articles like this for months to come and many opinions from Sony PS3 fans who are mourning, Xbox fans who are laughing and Nintendo fans who are saying "what about meee?".

This comment is not really necessary. Just enjoy the games coming out. You know you can compliment a game without having to absolutely sh!t on the competition.

I normally don't approve these articles but CliffyB has been kinda of tool because as professional game developer as he is, and also regarded highly in the industry, he need to STFU and continue making games.

Well accoring to a reliable source from GAF, the game was delayed to add trophies in it. At the moment this month releases seems filled so the earliest we will get a game is August ( I hope not but earlier)..Surprise me Sony..Surprise meeeeeeeeeeeee.
