But to quickly answer your question, some people bought it for what it had to offer at that time and what was to come. The consoles launch also had one of the best console launch line up in a long time.
Agree with you man but man you should know this was inevitable. Some people will downplay it whiles some others will think otherwise. PS3 is an AFW BD player/games consoles

Do you guys see whats happening ? Here is a quick update:
Sony announce a deal with EPIC to make UT3 timed on PS3 and also helps EPIC make the UE3 work better on the PS3.
Sony announce a deal with NCsoft to make MMO's for the PS3 which are yet to be revealed.
I will go on a limb here and say that, the unannounced PS3 MMO will be using the UE3.

Agreed. I see what you mean with the Microsoft/Yahoo and EA/T2 and I gotta admit that EA has strong ties with Microsoft this generation than Sony and the generations before but I don't think they are really related. I could be wrong though.

They have an update on the site. According to them, this might be a PSN game and will it is FULLY funded by Sony.
