Worth every penny.. Hell, I'd even pay more... Hey, I actually do - Why must games be so expensive here in Sweden? -_-
I'd gladly give up most of the entries on this list just for the PS2 MGS games to be rereleased to the PS3.
I'm not much of a multiplayer ('cept in mmos) so yeah, for games to have a good SP is key for me.
I had a conversation about something very similar the other day - Movies & Series. It's basically the same thing as long and short video games; Series take a long time to watch but there's so much more content while a movie takes shorter time away from you but you might feel that there could've been more to it (ofc there are exceptions in both cases).
The bottom line is that ultimately it's up to the viewer/gamer to decide what's right for them. Person...
Oh, cool, shows how much I've played :P Thanks, I'll get to work on it in the morning ^_^
I'd like for them to add the characters that are in but not quite, like Quan-Chi, Shao-Kahn, Goro, Kintaro etc. Maybe there's already some way to do so but I haven't heard of any.
Next, oh boy, so many choices... Motaro cause having a horse-human hybrid kicking peoples asses would just be downright awesome. Kenshi, Havik (yes I liked being the guy that had a move that just included your character snapping his own neck) and pretty much any female character just to ...
What I want to know is how long this game is. The length of past CoD games have been quite a letdown for me, as have the focus on MP, which I don't use much anyways.
Not a bad review really, it hints at the guys personal preference which makes it relatable to people watching the review and at the same time being objective on the matters.
I was actually looking for a modern shooter just about when MoH was about to release, so I thought it might be a good option as I've come to think of the CoD series as multiplayer based with a short campaign. Turns out MoH is not much different. Ah well, I guess I'll just wait for my fix of Fallou...
This sucks for me at least as I've been dying for this game to come out and the only capable gaming machine in my house is my PS3. However I did survive on my Fallout 3 original version without any of the DLC, sooo I think I'll be alright.
Damnit, I just can't find words that describe my confusion with why the argument is made that Fallout 3s engine, gameplay and style with a new(ish) setting is such a bad thing. Actually, for me, that's one of the facts that make me want to go out and get this the second it's released. On that note, I won't be able to, because I can't spare much in the money-department right now and to know that the game is out and being unable to get it will pain me greatly.
It all depends. What is the definition of "Good" graphics? Is it to have a high realism factor, where every shine, shadow and tone tries to duplicate the real world or to have an appropriate style for the game you're creating?
Let's compare here for a second. Take Crysis for example - It seems to have every desire of mimicking the real world. Then take Muramasa (Wii - It's all 2D, painted beautifully to convey a style, an ideal to the player, but doesn...
This seems like a somewhat generic shooter to me. I realize there are difficulty settings but even if it's on easy this game seems to be rather forgiving as this guy can totally avoid tactics and still get the job done. The military style is cool though, which I guess they've worked on and that shows. Other than that I'm leaning more towards calling this "meh" than "MoH".
I think it was a smart move to include this segment. Not only because I for one, support the idea of letting players take part of both sides of a conflict, but also because it was smart from a competitive market-point of view. MW2 had images of a burning US capital, playing as a terrorist etc, MoH will have you playing as a current, real-life "threat". We don't know the details but since MoH is naturally trying to beat MW2 including something like this was more or less necessary...
Maaaaybe if movement gaming was as hot as it was a couple of years ago. Sure Kinect will sell, as will Move, but it's not the game-breaker these guys make it up to be.
First Play effed up - http://www.destructoid.com/...
Just sayin'. Too bad though, would've been awesome, especially if it was local co-op (but i think i'd rather see that limited to 2 in that case).
Oh alright, good enough, way to improve (if it's accurate numbers). But does it matter when they allowed it to happen in the first place? I bought my machine in '06 and it broke twice, once it was covered by the warranty but the second time it was not. So i'm sitting here with a bricked 360 because apparently I was foolish enough to get the system early. My confidence in MS as a gaming company and the machine itself has been destroyed.
Never more...
Alright, the PS3s architecture might be hard to develop for, fair enough i guess. But that's the thing with advancements in technology, right? That things change and thus require us to learn new (or unlearn old) stuff?
In any case, it's good to see that they're getting some knowledgeable crew for this project. I hope they are not just doing it because they must but also because they want to learn about how the PS3 works. And speaking of hopes, i hope that more devs will go the ex...
I don't care which company it is - You just don't mess with the competition in such a direct way. This has shown me that MS lacks confidence in their own product so much that they feel the need to downplay the competition in such a way.
I haven't seen the ad for myself, but if this is true then I just lost the little respect I had left for MS. Which is a shame, they have the money to pull off great things but they need to get less greedy and ensure the consumers more quality.
Oh no, they did NOT just list the PS2. I don't care when, calling it not worth it is an abomination and a curse. I still have my launch version and it works like a charm. Sure it may not be as fast as the slim but i'll be damned if it has not served me better than any gaming machine i have ever had.
It's like listing the PS3 bad because it was expensive at launch. Well, Steve, i do not share your opinion and i think you should retract your statement.
Well of course you're getting tired of HD remakes when they only release remakes of games you don't like all that much. Personally, I'm a huge MGS and GoW fan for example so the fact that both will see HD releases in the near future (GoW's PSP games were coming to PS3, yes? :S) is just plain awesome for me. Just out of curiosity though - Which games would you like to see HD releases of?
